Drevlyanka - a district of the city of Petrozavodsk . Located in the southwestern part of the city on the eponymous mountain . The population of Drevlyanka is about 60.000 people, which makes it the largest district of the city and exceeds the population of any district city of the Republic of Karelia. The built-up area of Drevlyanka is 110 hectares. The total area of housing area of more than 820 thousand square meters. At present, the district is built up mainly with typical houses of the 75th series [1] .
Content
History
The history of Drevlyanka begins in the first half of the 18th century, when factory dachas, places for logging, were equipped on the Drevlyane hills. Felling was carried out for the needs of Petrovsky and Aleksandrovsky plants . Later, the residence of the Olonets Governor-General Timofey Tutolmin was built at the foot of the Drevlyane Mountain. In 1828, this territory was ceded to the Olonets Diocese , in 1918 - to the Lenin commune.
In 1930 a forest technical school was built on the Drevlyane mountain, the territory of Drevlyanka expanded. In the 1950s, a telecentre and a republican hospital were built here. In 1985, the construction of the modern Drevlyanka began [2] .
It is connected with the city center directly through the Gogolevsky overpass .
