Red-headed Warbler Tanagra [2] ( lat. Hemithraupis ruficapilla ) is a species of bird from the Tanagra family. Birds live in urban areas, subtropical and tropical low-lying moist and highly degraded primary forests, at an altitude of up to 1,350 meters above sea level [3] . Body length - 13 cm [4] , weight about 11.5 grams [3]

There are two subspecies [1] :
- Hemithraupis ruficapilla bahiae - southeastern Bahia in eastern Brazil ;
- Hemithraupis ruficapilla ruficapilla - in southeastern Brazil - from southern Minas Gerais and Espiritu Santo south to eastern Santa Catarina .
