Khoinitsky, Jozef

Jozef Chojnicki ( Polish. Józef Chojnicki ; 1745 , Lviv - 1812 , ibid.) - Polish artist .

The student of the famous master of the late Baroque Lviv Stanislav Stroinsky.

He painted religious paintings and portraits.

Together with the teacher, he took part in the painting of the Dominican Cathedral (Catedra), one of the symbols of the city of Ternopol (he made frescoes of the side naves).

The main result of his work is considered to be 29 paintings made by Yu. Khoinitsky for the Latin Cathedral in Lviv.

To date, several portraits by the artist have been preserved in the Lviv Art Gallery .
