The apple variety Mutsu ( Jap. 睦 奥 ム ツ mutsu ) (also known as Crispin ('Crispin')) was bred in Japan in 1948. It is believed that it was obtained by crossing between Golden Delicious ( 'Golden Delicious' ) and Indo Japanese varieties of apples.
