Biography
After graduation, he entered the Furmanovsk Pedagogical College. In 1942, from the 3rd year student E. Urakbaev volunteered for the front. He graduated from the crash course of the 1st Rostov Artillery School PTA in Perm . Since April 1943 - commander of the fire platoon of the 610th Infantry Regiment.
The gunner, Lieutenant Yesen Urakbaev participated in many battles, destroyed several tanks, many other enemy equipment and manpower.
He particularly distinguished himself in battles in Hungary during the crossing of the Tisza River in the area of the settlement of Sharud (12 km southwest of the city of Tisafured ) [1] .
For exemplary performance of combat missions, for the courage and heroism shown at the same time, Yesen Shegreevich Urakbaev was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union by decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945 [1] .
After the Victory, he continued to serve in the army. In 1946, he was transferred to the reserve.
In 1949 he graduated from the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan in Alma-Ata, worked as the director of the Algabas state farm of the Chapaevsky district, then the Krasnogorsk state farm of the Zhangalinsky district of the Kazakh SSR.
