Biography

In 1919 she graduated from a 4-class parish school in her native village.

In 1922, she was enrolled in Kamenetz-Podolsky border detachment for the position of cleaning woman. In 1926 , after joining the party , he was seconded to work as a district female organizer in one of the districts of Kamenetz-Podolsky district. In 1928 she graduated from one-year law courses and worked as a people's judge for two years. Later she worked as an assistant prosecutor of the inter-district commandant’s office in Zhytomyr . In 1931 she married the commissar of the 3rd Cavalry Regiment of the 1st Red Cossack Division - Pavel Rachkevich.

In the Red Army since 1932 . The instructor of the political department of the 1st Red Cossack Division in 1934 entered and in 1937 successfully (the first of the women in the country) graduated from the Military Political Academy named after Lenin. After that, she taught for one year at the Leningrad Military School of Communications, and in 1939 she entered the post-graduate school of the Academy. Lenin.

On the fronts of World War II since July 1941 . From July 16 to September 28, 1941 - Commissioner of the Military Field Hospital No. 1366 of the Western Front. Not wanting to lag behind the subordinates, Major Rachkevich graduated from the accelerated training courses for navigators and completed 36 sorties to bombard the enemy’s manpower and equipment. More than once headed the column of the ground echelon during the relocation of the regiment to new airfields. Without leaving her direct duties, she helped to equip planes for sorties.

After the war ended, she was demobilized, but in 1951 she was again drafted into the ranks of the Soviet Army. Until 1956, she served as an instructor in the political department of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany . In 1956, the Guard Lieutenant Colonel Rachkevich was discharged, resigned and moved to Moscow.

She lived in Moscow. She died on January 7, 1975, was buried in Khovansky cemetery , section 115.
