History

In 1990, an analogue of the Guinness book was created in Armenia - a book of records of Armenia “Dutsaznagirk” [4] . In 2011, with the financial support of the President of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan, the Armenian book of records was published - “Dutsaznagirk” [5] . In February 2012 , a solemn presentation of the Book of Athletes took place, which included power and intellectual records, fixed by a special commission for 20 years. In addition to power records, the book of heroes also includes intellectual achievements. The circulation of the book was a thousand copies. The author, and at the same time the head of the record-setting committee, is Vardan Tovmasyan . All records, which are accompanied by a story about the author of the achievement and his photographs, are classified into sections. In addition, in addition to the records noted in Armenia itself, the book includes power and intellectual achievements recorded by Armenians in the CIS countries [6]

As of the end of February 2012 , the book had 134 records set by 65 athletes, of which 12 in the performance of 9 athletes were noted in the Guinness Book of Records . The book, as records are updated, is planned to be reprinted [6] .
