Biography
Mikhail Leonidovich Bogdanov was born on March 2, 1952 . [3]
In 1974 he graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR . He is fluent in Arabic and English.
In the diplomatic service since 1974.
He worked in various positions in the central apparatus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and embassies abroad: in Yemen , Lebanon , Syria .
- 1989-1991 - Head of the Department of the Middle East and North Africa of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- 1991-1994 - An employee of the Russian Embassy in Syria .
- 1994-1997 - Deputy Director of the Department of the Middle East and North Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation .
- 1997-2002 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Israel .
- 2002-2005 - Director of the Department of the Middle East and North Africa, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia .
- January 21, 2005 - June 12, 2011 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Egypt , plenipotentiary representative of the Russian Federation to the League of Arab States .
