Biography

In 1953 he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University . Received a recommendation to graduate school from Professor A. A. Kosmodemyansky . As a student, he began working in the Department of Mechanics of the Steklov Mathematical Institute , a student of M.V. Keldysh , and since 1953 he worked in the Department of Applied Mathematics of the Steklov Mathematical Institute. Since 1966 - at the Institute of Applied Mathematics. M.V. Keldysh . Work on the dynamics of space flights, was the first researcher of flight paths " Earth - Moon ".

Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1957), Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (1967). Since 1973 he taught (part-time) at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University, professor at the Department of Theoretical Mechanics .

In April 1964, he participated in the selection of candidates for the flight on the first three-seater spacecraft Voskhod (the Voskhod target set). He underwent a medical examination at the Central Scientific Research Aviation Hospital (TsNIAG) as a candidate for cosmonaut-researchers from the Institute of Applied Mathematics, but was not allowed to special training. In September-October 1966, he again underwent a medical examination at the TsNIAG, this time as one of the candidates for the first group of cosmonauts and scientists of the USSR Academy of Sciences, however, he could not go through the examination and did not receive permission from the Main Medical Commission.

In the early 1970s, with a group of colleagues at IPM, the calculations of Jay Forrester and the group of D. Meadows, who predicted a near global environmental disaster at the beginning of the 21st century, were repeated on a computer. The mistakes made in the construction of stationary development regimes were corrected, and the reasons for the inevitability of this catastrophe — the anarchy of capitalist production — were understood. In 1976, these studies were discontinued by M.V. Keldysh in view of their futility in a socialist economy. [2]

Since the end of the 1970s, on the initiative of MV Keldysh, he has been dealing with problems of medical diagnostics and computerization of medicine for about 20 years. In 1984, he created a bioinformatics laboratory at the Scientific Council of the USSR Academy of Sciences on the complex issue of Cybernetics and led its sector on a voluntary basis.

Laureate of the Lenin Prize (1962) He was awarded the bronze medal of VDNH (1980), the medal "In memory of the 850th anniversary of Moscow" (1997).

September 7, 2001 went missing in the city of Sochi , where he had his own housing.
