Geographical position
The village is located in a suburb of the city of Velsk , on the right bank of the Vaga River, a tributary of the Northern Dvina River . It is the most western settlement of the Argunovsky rural settlement. The distance to the administrative center of the settlement, the village of Argunovsky , is 2.2 km in a straight line, or 3.5 km by road. The distance to the railway station in the city of Velsk is 3.1 km (6.8 km). [four]

History
It is indicated in the “List of Populated Places According to 1859” as part of the Velsky Uyezd of the Vologda Province as “Golovkovskaya (Vyshikovo)”. She counted 5 yards, 27 men and 21 women. [8] .
