The source of the river is located near the village of Bulatikha, 14 km southeast of the center of Vichuga . The river flows southwest. On the river are the settlements of Kashino, Ovinovo, Koteltsy, Tropinskoye, Volynevo. It falls into Seymnu below the village of Tropinskoe.
