Saint George Baster ( born Saint George Basseterre Parish ) is one of 14 districts (a unit of administrative-territorial division) of the state of Saint Kitts and Nevis .

Geography
Located on the island of St. Kitts and is the largest county on the island and the second largest in the country after St. James-Windward on the island of Nevis (28.7 km²). The county has the longest coastline.
St. George Baster is the most diverse natural environment compared to all other counties of the country. Its northern part is occupied by a fertile plain, the southern - by the dry and barren Southeastern Peninsula.
Population
This is the largest district in terms of population, concentrating about a third of the country's population (13,220 people). The administrative center and the largest city in the district is Baster , which is also the capital of the entire state.
