This volcano belongs to the Western volcanic region of the Middle Volcanic Belt. It is located in the headwaters of the Perevalova River (a tributary of the Tigil River), occupying the watershed section of the headwaters of the Kalgauch and Belaya rivers.
It covers an area of 275 km², the volume of erupted material is 60 km³.
The absolute height is 1328 m, relative: the western slopes - 600 m, the eastern - 300 m.
Volcano activity refers to the mid-Quaternary period.
