Creation History

The theme of “lifebuoy” arose in the work of Talkov in connection with his realization of the need to search for “his own lifebuoy” to protect against dangers [2] arising from the fact that the musician sang and composed very “seditious” and highly social songs. In 1988, Igor Talkov created his own group with the name "Lifebuoy" , and then in 1989 [3] he wrote the song of the same name. In the same year, she was shown to them at the International Festival "Step to Parnassus" [4] .

The song was used by Talkov as a background sound at the end of the musical performance “The Court” (1991), when the performance of the “Lifebuoy” band ended and the audience began to disperse. Before that, it was also performed at ordinary concerts.

The song was first published on the disc after the death of Igor Talkov in the studio album "Nostalgia" ( 1993 ) and then repeatedly reprinted. In 1996, the song gave the name of one of the albums of re-released songs - "Lifebuoy". Initially, it was used in magnetic albums, in two versions, before the Step to Parnassus and after.
