Geography

The village is located on the Shiverka river (a tributary of Sudogda ), 15 km from Sudogda and 55 km from Vladimir , on the P72 Vladimir- Murom - Arzamas highway, 97 m above sea level [2] .

History

 
Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. 2017 year

The church in the name of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Likino was built for the first time by the landowner metropolitan Athanasius Khonenev in 1696. In 1784-87, instead of the hitherto former wooden church, the Khonenev landowners also built a stone temple. There were two thrones in the church: the main one in the name of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in a warm meal in the name of Archangel Michael. The parish consisted of the village of Likino and the villages: Nepeytsino, Bolshoi Kozlovka, Malaya Kozlovka, Kolesny, Lebedevo, Pesochny, Kolenokov. Since 1887, there has been a parish school in the village of Likino, there were 42 students in 1896 [3] .

Before the revolution, the village was the center of the Likinsky volost of Sudogda district .

Infrastructure

In the village there is Likinsky elementary school [14] , the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary [15] , a women's colony.
