Lusignan [1] ( fr. Lusignan ) is a city, commune and canton in the Vienne department of the Poitou-Charentes region in western France. Located 25 km southwest of Poitiers on the RN11 highway in La Rochelle, approximately 400 km from Paris . Residents call themselves Mélusins and Mélusines . The commune is crossed by the Vonna River.
