Career
Stumbris began playing football in his native Alytus, the first coach - Piatras Simonavičius. Several times became the winner of the Leather Ball tournament. At the age of 12 he was noticed by the leadership of the sports boarding school Panevezys , in 1991-1995 he played for the local Ekranas . After performances at Sakalas and Kareda in early 1997, he was invited by the coach of St. Petersburg Zenit A. Byshovets . Stumbris played 15 matches in the team, scored one goal, but after the injury he stopped falling into the main squad and was leased to Ekranas. In 1999, he returned to St. Petersburg, but played only 5 matches for the second Zenit team and moved to the Moscow Torpedo-ZIL , where he played 52 games in a season and a half and scored 7 goals.
For the national team of Lithuania in 1991-1999 he spent 37 matches, scored 2 goals. [one]
Death
On November 15, 2000, Stumbris’s body was found on the outskirts of Panevezys near a cafe in his own Opel Astra car. Death came from a bullet wound in the temple , a Makarov pistol was nearby. [2] Various versions have been put forward whether he was killed or committed suicide . [3]

Wife of Inetta Stumbriene, son of Dominicas (b. 1996). Father-in-law was the mayor of Panevezys .
