Bavari

Bavari - Sindhi corsairs from Gujarat , chasing Arab ships going to India and China . They were converted to Islam during the Samm dynasty [1] . Al-Masoudi mentioned them, saying that they often visited Socotra . Ibn Battuta described that they used large warships. At-Tabari wrote about their attacks on Basra [2] .

Bavarian ships could not compete with the military and were more intended for boarding [1] .
