Biography
Born on August 6, 1954 in Bespole, Sumy Region in the family of teachers Savchuk Vladimir Maximovich and Shpigunova Taisiya Ivanovna; subsequently, parents moved from Belopol to Mariupol . Father - candidate of philosophical sciences, associate professor of the Zhdanov Metallurgical Institute [1] , mother - teacher, head teacher of school № 54 (Mariupol).
He entered in 1971 , and in 1976 graduated from the Zhdanov Metallurgical Institute with a degree in Equipment and Technology for Welding Production. From 1976 to 1978 he worked as a design engineer at the Zhdanov Mechanical Plant. From 1979 to 1991 he was in the ranks of the CPSU . From 1980 to 1982 he served in the Soviet Army . In 1978 - 1980 he worked in the Komsomol, and from 1982 to 1986 - in the party organs. Since 1986, he worked in the production workshops of general engineering " PO Azovmash" [2] as deputy head of workshop No. 23, head of workshop No. 27. In November 1990 he was appointed director of the general engineering industry of the association, and since October 1991 - director of a state company "Azovoobschemash." In 1997, in connection with the corporatization of the company, he became Chairman of the Board - General Director of the Azovosobemash open joint-stock company.
He died on November 11, 2012 .
Policy
In 2006, Alexander Savchuk entered the electoral list of the “ Party of Regions ” [3] in the parliamentary elections and was elected to the Verkhovna Rada as Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Transport and Communications. In 2007, he was re-elected to the Verkhovna Rada on the list of the Party of Regions, a member of the Committee on Transport and Communications.
Management
In “ 2000 ” [4] he headed Azovmash OJSC , which consolidated the joint-stock companies Azov OJSC (MZTM OJSC), Azovovemash; GKSTI, MTZ, becoming its CEO. In 2006 - President of Azovmash OJSC in connection with his election to the Verkhovna Rada . In 2007, Alexander Savchuk founded the company “ Mariupol Investment Group ” (“MIG”) to consolidate all of his assets in a single financial and industrial group. Subsequently, Alexander Savchuk decided to divide the management of the main (Azovmash group) and promising (MIG group) business lines. In 2010, the MIG company was transformed into a Management Company ( MIG Management Company). In " 2010 " [5] simultaneously becomes the President of Azovmashinvest Holding. “Azovmashinvest Holding” is one of the “ largest engineering complexes of enterprises in Ukraine ” [6] , a world-renowned supplier of railway freight cars and platforms, tankers, truckers, metallurgical, mining and crane equipment and other types of products. The “ composition of the Group ” [7] includes PJSC “Azovmash”, PJSC “Azovosobemash”, PJSC “Mariupol Heavy Engineering Plant”, PJSC “Mariupol Thermal Plant”, PJSC “Head Specialized Design and Technological Institute”, PJSC “Trading House” Azov obschemash, LLC Head Specialized Design Bureau of Carriage Engineering named after V. M. Bubnov, PJSC Poltavakhimmash, PJSC AzovElectroStal. After the restructuring in 2011 [8] , Azovmash becomes PJSC Azovmash. Azovmash unites over 15 thousand people. the areas of activity are railcar manufacturing, production of mining, crane, metallurgical equipment, fueling equipment, and armored vehicles. Along with Azovmash PJSC, Azovmashinvest Holding includes Poltavakhimmash OJSC (wagons, chemical equipment), AzovElektroStal PrJSC (wagon casting, castings, high-quality billets, packages).
Charity
In “ 2003 ” [9] - the initiator of the creation of a charity fund to support poor citizens of Mariupol, in 2007 - the Mariupol city charity fund “Azovmash”. MGBF “Azovmash” in August 2007 December 2008 provided assistance in the amount of 600 thousand UAH., in 2009 - 3.02 million UAH., 2010 - 9.55 million, 2011 - 19.5 million UAH. Money allocated for the construction of the cathedral, veteran organizations, the orphanage "Sun", boarding school number 2, the Red Cross.
