History
University of Omaha
The University of Omaha was founded in 1908 at Kountze Place in the vicinity of North Omaha . The first classes were held at Redick Mansion . From 1909 to 1917, the University moved a few blocks north of the Presbyterian Theological Seminary , most of the teachers were recruited from the teachers of the Seminary, as well as the faculty of Bellevue College . In the first year, 26 students entered the university, most of whom graduated from Omaha Central High School . Three of the first four university presidents were ordained by Presbyterian ministers. [3] [4] The two buildings of the first campus were connected: Jacobs Hall ( English Jacobs Hall), a gym erected in 1910 , and Joslyn Hall, erected in 1917 .

The university consists of two campuses: the Northern and Pacific campus ( English Pacific Campus, formerly called the Southern campus).
