Biography
Born on January 21, 1820 in the Filonov village of the Khopersky okrug of the Don Don Region .
He entered the military service in the early 1840s in the Don Cossack regiments and on August 5, 1841 received the first officer rank. In 1852 he was promoted to military foreman , December 6, 1859 - to lieutenant colonel, and April 17, 1863 - to colonel (with seniority on January 15 of the same year).
In 1863-1864, Emanov was in Poland , where he commanded the Don equestrian artillery No. 1 battery, and participated in the suppression of the Polish uprising . November 16, 1863 he was awarded the Order of St. George 4th degree

On August 7, 1871, Emanov was promoted to major general with the appointment of the ataman of the 4th Division of the Don Army Region, and since 1875 he was the ataman of the 5th Division.
He died on March 17, 1880.
