Technical Description

Neoplan Starliner is considered a five-star tourist liner and meets all modern requirements for the production of tourist buses. The bus is 13 meters long and more often triaxial (although the N516 modification is biaxial), it reaches a height of 3.9-4.0 meters and a width of up to 2.7 meters. Air suspension provides maximum transportation comfort at both low and high speeds, and seats are installed at a height of more than two meters above the road. Considering the “one and a half floor”, the design allows you to significantly expand the luggage compartment to 20 m ³; It has 3 wipers - two on the lower windshield “hide” behind the front in a special compartment, so they are not visible from above, the upper single wiper is designed to clean the upper part of the glass for passenger comfort. There is a glass washer function with various types of liquids - both water and foam. On the lower part of the front end there are 4 powerful headlights, a low-profile bumper and fog lights. On the sides are located 6 marker lights; the bus has 2 doors and fairly high steps to the passenger compartment.

The salon is made according to 5-star standards - it contains from 48 to 63 pair of armchairs upholstered in leather or suede, orthopedic chairs, diverge by 150 ° and can be advanced on special rails by 15 centimeters, with 2 types of levers, a cover and an offset, on the back each of them has a mini-table, a clothes hanger, an ashtray and a small box for keeping small things; Armrests are available both at places closer to windows and at adjacent ones. Xenon lights and additional lamps are installed throughout the cabin.

The driver’s seat is the same as the passenger’s one, the dashboard is made in the style of a “dash”, that is, semicircular. At the very top there is a large electronic clock with blue numbers. There are many buttons on the panel that are easy to read, the problem of several levers and many functions on them is resolved by processing for one multi-joystick programmed to show turns, turn on wipers and give a signal, and turn on heating or air conditioning. Since there are no special doors for the driver, the panel stretched to the left side. At the performance there are instruments - a speedometer with an electronic odometer, a maximum mark of 128 km / h (80 mph), a tachometer (maximum of 3000 engine revolutions / min), a gas meter (capacity of 480 liters), an engine warming indicator (maximum of 120 ° C) and an integrated panel in the middle of the dial gauges with electronic turn / heat / end warning signs.
