The Zyulzinsky Depression is a depression in the middle part of the Trans-Baikal Territory of Russia .

Location
The Zyulzinsky depression is located between the Nerchinsko-Kuenginsky ridge (from the west) and its spur (from the east). The depression begins in the south, in the vicinity of the village of Olinsk and extends in a submeridional direction to the vicinity of the village of Zyulzia . The length of the depression reaches 20 km with a maximum width of 9 km.
Geology
The Zyulzinsky Depression is filled with sedimentary and basaltoid formations of the Upper Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous age (with brown coal deposits ), which are covered from above by Cenozoic continental sediments of low thickness. The foundation of the depression occurred in the Mesozoic , further formation went to Neogene - Quaternary .
The lower part of the Zyulzinsky Depression is occupied by the Nercha River , the water edge of which is 500-510 m. The prevailing landscapes are steppes , forest-steppes and riverine meadows .
