Biography
Shlomo Brook was born in Snovsk, Chernihiv province , then studied at the Nightingale tetral studio in Kharkov . [1] In 1920, the actor joined the troupe of the oldest Israeli theater, Gabima , where he played until the end of his career.
In 1928, Brooke repatriated to Palestine [1] . All his life he lived a bachelor. He died in 1983 after a long illness [1] .
Brooke specialized in comic roles. [1] Among his acting works are roles in the play Hadibuk S. An-sky , which premiered on January 31, 1922 . As part of the Habima troupe, Brooke also toured, including on Broadway, with performances in 1926/27 and 1964.
