History
WDR was launched on decimeter waves in the decomposition standard 576i . December 17, 1965 under the name WDF ( Westdeutsches Fernsehen - West German television ). August 25, 1967 broadcast translated into standard PAL. In 1982, Journal 3 was divided into Aktuelle Stunde and Nordschau , and on October 1, 1984, the Lokalzeit program was aired . In the late 1980s, WDR Text was launched and the broadcast of the West 3 regular logo began; in 1990, the latest news on it was replaced with the WDR Aktuell news program. In 1988, the program was renamed West 3 . December 31, 1993, West 3 began to broadcast around the clock, around the same period speakers were canceled. In 1994, renamed WDR Fernsehen . On June 30, 2009, the PAL version of the WDR Fernsehen ceased broadcasting. On April 30, 2012, WDR, via cable and satellite television, launched the WDR version of Fernsehen in the 720p standard.
