Justification of Symbols
The history of the village of Kikerino is associated with the name of the talented Russian ceramic artist Pyotr Kuzmich Vaulin . The estate of P.K. Vaulin (manor house, cellar) (XIX century), as well as the former Administrative building of the majolica factory of P.K. Vaulin (late XIX - early XX centuries) are now Kikerino sights.
In 1890, P.K. Vaulin headed the newly created (in June 1890) ceramic workshop in Abramtsevo, officially called "Abramtsevo", where he was invited as technical director by the famous industrialist and philanthropist S. I. Mamontov . The workshop produced ceramics and majolica based on sketches of famous artists of that time - M. A. Vrubel , N. K. Roerich , V. E. Borisov-Musatov , K. A. Korovin , A. Ya. Golovin , V. A. Serov , I. E. Grabar , V. D. Polenov , F. O. Shekhtel and others.
Under the guidance of Vaulin, a majolica was made for facing the Metropol Hotel, Yaroslavl Station , a majolica frieze on the Tretyakov Gallery building, a majolica decor for facing facades, interiors and fireplaces of many rich Moscow mansions. At the All-Russian Exhibition of 1896 in Nizhny Novgorod and the World Exhibition of 1990 in Paris , products made in the Abramtsevo workshop received a gold medal, and Vaulin himself was awarded an honorary diploma.
In 1906, a ceramic workshop of O. O. Geldwein and P.K. Vaulin was created in Kikerino under the name "Kikerinsky Plant of Art Ceramics" in the estate of Lilinfeld-Tol, near the Kikerino railway station. Osip Osipovich Geldwein was engaged in the financial side of the matter, and P.K. Vaulin was an artistic-ceramic, creative part. The workshop was founded on the basis of the acquired by the partners of the Baltic pottery-tiled factory Lilinfeld-Tolya, converted from a small brick factory, created back in 1878. Later, Vaulin became a co-owner of the art and ceramic production Geldwein and Vaulin, whose office was in St. Petersburg.
The Kikerin period of Vaulin’s creative work is associated with the names of A. I. von Gauguin , E. E. Lansere , N. E. Lansere , A. A. Ol, N. K. Roerich, S. V. Chekhonin .
Many of his most famous works were created here - the facing of the Cathedral Mosque on the Petrograd side in St. Petersburg , the portal of the building of the current library of the Institute of Experimental Medicine ( 19 Akademika Pavlova St. ), the facing of the Royal Palace in Serbia .
The flag’s symbols are a narrow azure pillar finely framed with gold and encumbered with an inscribed silver wavy branch with golden leaves and flowers and two golden converts and turned upright golden birds with upturned wings — a reminder of the connection between the fate of P.K. Vaulin and the history of the Kikerinsky rural settlement and the famous production of artistic majolica in Kikerino under his leadership.
Blue color (light blue ) is a symbol of beauty, love, peace and elevated aspirations.
Yellow color ( gold ) is a symbol of constancy, strength, generosity, sunlight, and harvest.
