The flag was approved on December 23, 2011 [1] and entered in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation with assignment of registration number 7502.
Description
“The flag of the municipality of Kalozhytsky rural settlement of the Volosovsky municipal district of the Leningrad region is a rectangular panel with a 2: 3 ratio of flag width to the coat of arms of the municipality of Kalozhytsky rural settlement of the Volosovsky municipal district of the Leningrad region in red, blue, yellow and white colors” .
The heraldic description of the coat of arms reads: “ In a dissected silver and scarlet (red) field under the azure (blue, blue) head, burdened with three golden stars with six rays, one is beside the other; on top of the cut is Catherine’s wheel of variable colors, on top of which is the golden one, standing straight, St. Catherine, with the right hand clutching the hilt of the golden sword lowered in front of her, in her left bent at the elbow and with her hand laid aside, holding a golden open book . ”
Justification of Symbols
Three golden stars in azure, as well as silver and scarlet (red) are a reminder of the former Gerbel manor in Kalozhitsy , whose ruins and fragments of the manor park have survived to this day.
St. Catherine and the wheel of St. Catherine an indication of the landmark Kalozhyts - Catherine’s Church (built in 1850-1859).
