By the law of the Leningrad Region of May 15, 2012, the Vakhnovokarsky rural settlement was renamed Domozhirovsky rural settlement. [2]
Description
“The flag of the Vakhnovokarsky rural settlement of the Lodeinopolsky municipal district of the Leningrad region is a rectangular panel with a 2: 3 ratio of flag width to length reproducing the composition of the coat of arms of the Vakhnovokarsky rural settlement of the Lodeinopolsky municipal district of the Leningrad region with blue, red, yellow and white colors.”
The heraldic description of the coat of arms reads: “ The field is curved crossed by a scarlet (red) and azure (blue, blue) with two pairs of silver anchor paws in the belt, turned in opposite directions, connected in the middle by a silver ring and inscribed on the sides, with the upper pair of anchor paws laid on field dividing lines; in azure, there is a golden anchor cross, four-fold dissolved with the same trefoil cross with damask ”.
Justification of Symbols

The golden anchor cross, quartered dissolved by the same trefoil cross with damascus, is a reminder of the Vvedeno-Oyatsky Convent located on the territory of the Vakhnovokarsky rural settlement, as well as of St. Alexander Svirsky , a native of Sermaks. Opposite the monastery, on the other side of the Oyat River , in the now defunct village of Mandera (Sermaks), Saint Alexander Svirsky was born at the beginning of the 15th century.
Two pairs of silver anchor paws in a pole, turned in different directions and connected in the middle by a ring remind on the one hand of the former landowners of the Korsakov nobles, on the other - they show the former importance of Sermaksa as the former marina at which the steamboats stopping from Shlisselburg to Petrozavodsk , a symbol of navigation on Oyat and Svir . At the same time, it is a symbol of a significant number of shipowners in the population of the pre-revolutionary Domozhirovsky volost.
Blue color (light blue ) is a symbol of love, peace, sublime aspirations, as well as the water expanses of Svir and Oyat.
The red color is law, courage, selflessness, love, courage, and fearlessness. Symbol of labor, life-affirming power, holiday, beauty, sun and heat. In the old Russian tradition - red - "beautiful."
As of 1917, the lands of the modern Vakhnovokarsky rural settlement were part of two provinces - St. Petersburg and Olonets . The intersection of the panel with red and blue colors reminds of the border that crossed the territory of the modern Vakhnovokarsky settlement in the old days between the Novoladozhsky district of the St. Petersburg province (heraldic color - scarlet) and the Lodeynopolsky district of the Olonets province (light blue).
Yellow color ( gold ) is a symbol of divine radiance, grace, strength, grandeur, sunlight. It also symbolizes power, strength, constancy, nobility, justice, fidelity.
White color ( silver ) - purity of thoughts, spirituality, sincerity, truthfulness, innocence, nobleness, frankness, integrity, hope.
