Ganaim, Masoud

Masoud Ganaim ( Hebrew מסעוד גנאים ; born February 14, 1965 , Israel ) is an Israeli politician and a member of the 19th Knesset from the United Arab List faction.

Masoud Ghanaim was born into an Arab family in Israel . He received a bachelor 's degree in Middle East history from the University of Haifa . In 1999 - 2003 he worked as the general director of the cultural center in Sakhnin . Then he moved to work in the municipality of Sakhnin and remained a member until 2005 .

Published several books. In addition, many articles by Ganaim were published in Arabic-language newspapers.

Before the elections to the Knesset of the 18th convocation, he took fourth place in the PAAM’s party list in the Knesset and after the election he took the parliamentary seat, as the party received four seats in the Knesset ^[1] . He worked in the commission on education, culture and sport and the commission on the affairs of the second radio and television broadcasting department. In addition, it has become part of the lobby in the interests of society and the environment, the lobby to combat racism and the lobby to promote teacher status in Israel.

In May 2010, in an interview with one of the Arab newspapers, Ganayim suggested that Israel should become part of a single great Islamic Caliphate ^[2] .

Ganaim is married, has three children, and lives in Sakhnin . In addition to Hebrew, speaks Arabic and English .
