Valery Pavlovich Filimonov (born July 21, 1946 , Leningrad ) is a Russian hagiographer, academician of the Orthodox theological department of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts , author of many books and publications in periodicals and almanacs.

Biography
In his autobiography, he writes [1] that he graduated from the College of Radio Engineering and the Polytechnic Institute . As a writer-hagiographer, he worked on the lives of Seraphim Vyritsky , Barnabas of Gethsemane and the Philosopher Ornatsky .
V.P. Filimonov is one of the leaders of the movement "For the right to live without TIN, personal codes and microchips." He is a consistent opponent of Russian passports (as opposed to Soviet without a “personal code” column and a “nationality” column), adoption of a TIN (subsequently SNILS - as a variation of the mark of the Antichrist ), metro tickets based on BSC with personal data [2] and UEC .
Valery Pavlovich in his speeches always emphasizes his belonging to the Russian Orthodox Church and honors the church hierarchy. He supported Bishop Diomede until the latter called for a split [3] .
Criticism
Also, his position as a “singer of Sergian piety” is criticized by Archpriest of the True Orthodox Church A. Pravdolyubov [4] .
