St. Lamalis ( born St. Lamalisse ) is a Scottish hermit . Memorial Day - March 3 .
Saint Lamalis lived as a hermit on a small island near Arran in the 7th century . After his death, the island was named after him - Lamlash . The island is also known as St. Lamalisse's Island, or simply Holy Island .
Also known is Saint Moles of Leichlin (Molaise of Leighlin, Comm. 18 April ), who was also a hermit and lived on an island near Arran.
