CTWM is a window manager for the X Window System , based on twm sources , but enhanced to support virtual desktops.

In addition to great customization options, CTWM supports up to 32 desktops, XPM format, advanced icon management, animated icons and wallpapers, three-dimensional frames and headers. The manager is also backward compatible with twm and has basic GNOME support.
Content
History
CTWM was created by Claude Lecommandeur . Despite its popularity, the project for a long time did not have an official website. In 1999, Dan Lilliehorn created and maintained a CTWM website until early 2003.
At the beginning of 2003, Claude left the project and Richard Levitte took his place. He created and maintains the official website of the project.
Themes
Classic
The appearance of CTWM is customizable using themes. The following “classic” themes are available:

Each theme is a collection of scripts and graphic files in the X Pixmap format.
CTS
To facilitate installation and theme management, the CTWM Themes System or CTS was developed.
