Biography
Ukrainian. In 1921 he joined the Red Army. Member of the civil war. Passed training courses on team courses.
In 1936 he graduated from the Military Academy. Frunze .
In 1939–1940, he served as head of the 1st Division of the Air Defense Forces Directorate.
In 1940-1941 - a student of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Red Army .
In 1941–1942 - Chief of Staff of the body of the Transcaucasian air defense zone . From 1942 - Chief of Staff of the Army of the Transcaucasian Air Defense Zone .
Then, from 11/20/1942 to 12/19/1942, Colonel M. T. Karakoz - commander of the 416 rifle division ( Transcaucasian Front ).
From 12/20/1942 to 04/25/1944 he commanded the 402nd Azerbaijani rifle division . Major General since 03/16/1943.
In connection with the creation of the 1st Army of the Polish Army and the strengthening of the Polish People's Army, he was enlisted in the ranks for the post of deputy army commander for logistics.
He served in the Polish army in this post from 1944 to 1945. He participated in the liberation of Warsaw, in a breakthrough through central Poland, the capture of Bydgoszcz , the assault of Kolberg , the East Pomeranian operation , the capture of Berlin .
In 1945–1946, he commanded the Fourth Military District of Poland ( Silesia ).
In 1946 - returned to the USSR in the rank of lieutenant general. He was appointed commander of the 8th Separate Guards Rifle Brigade (1946-1947), from March 1947 to March 1949 - Commander of the 13th Separate Guards Rifle Brigade [1] .
In 1949-1955 - senior lecturer at the Military Academy of the General Staff.
From 1955 until his retirement in 1962, he served in command positions in the Air Defense Forces and taught at the Military Academy of the General Staff .
In the post-war period, Lieutenant-General (Ret.) M. T. Karakoz - organizer of regular meetings of participants in the liberation of Poland.
