Blue impulse

“Blue Impulse” ( Japanese ブ - ー イ ン パ ル ス , Eng. Blue Impulse ) is the Japanese Air Force aeronautical aerobatic team. Founded in 1960 , the group received six F-86 Saber aircraft, and in 1980 began to fly Japanese Mitsubishi T-2 training aircraft. The next fleet change took place in 1995 , when the group received Kawasaki T-4 aircraft. The group is based at Matsushima Air Base, which was badly damaged by the March 11, 2011 tsunami .
