Flight
In 1933, Madaryaga together with Mariano Barberan and Lieutenant Joaquin Collar Serra made a flight from Spain to Cuba by plane Cuatro Vientos ( Br.19 TF Super Bidon ), built specifically for this flight. The flight, which lasted 39 hours and 55 minutes, began in Seville at 4:40 on June 10, 1933 and ended in Camagüey at 20:45 (local time) on June 11, 1933. Total crew traveled 7320 km.
Madaryaga also participated in an unsuccessful transatlantic flight with Major Ramon Franco (brother of General Francisco Frank ), as evidenced by a small film story, filmed in 1929 [1] .
On June 20, the plane flew to Mexico City (without Madaryagi) and disappeared. No aircraft debris or pilots were found [2] .
Modesto Madaryaga died in 1974 in Buenos Aires from liver cancer.
