Geography
The village of Zagarino is located on the right bank of the Khilok River, on the line of the Trans-Baikal Railway, 100 km east of the city of Khilka .
History
The village was founded in 1895-1896 as a railway crossing Zagarin. The local population was mainly engaged in the maintenance of the railway. Until the 1990s, there was a railway station .
Population
The population in 1990 was 133 people, in 2002 - 58, in 2011 - 47 [2] . The main occupation of the inhabitants is the maintenance of the railway and agricultural production in personal subsidiary plots.
