This volcano belongs to the Kalgauch volcanic region of the Middle Volcanic Belt. It is located in the headwaters of the right tributaries of the Kalgauch river.
The shape of the volcano is a gentle cone. Geographically, the volcanic structure is close to an ellipse with axes 6 × 4 km, an area of 14 km². The volume of erupted material is ~ 4 km³. Absolute height - 1205 m, relative: 650 m.
The composition of eruption products is represented by basalts .
The activity of the volcano belongs to the Upper Quaternary period.
