“A'ves” ( port. Clube Desportivo das Aves ) is a Portuguese football club based in the city of Vila daz Avishe , playing in the Sagrish League . It was founded in 1930. Winner of the Portuguese Cup 2017/18. In the Sagrish League , Aves debuted 1985/86, the club's best result was 13th in the 1985/86 and 2017/18 seasons.

Spends home games at the Avish stadium, accommodating 8,560 spectators. It contains football schools for youth, as well as two futsal teams (one for men and one for women). The club’s official support group is called Força Avense .

The club was founded on November 12, 1930 by a group of friends. In the 1931/32 season, the first and reserve teams of the club were first created, which was called “Onze Vermelhos das Aves” (literally “Eleven Red Birds” by analogy with the nickname of the Belgian national team, “Red Devils”). The team played its first match on April 26, 1931 against the Negrelos club team, the first official game took place on September 13 of the same year with Sporting from Guimaraes [1] . In 1932, on the recommendation of a football association, the club name was changed to “Clube Desportivo das Aves” (“Avesha Sports Club”) or “CD Aves”, since red was associated with communist ideology [2] .
Since the 1932/33 season, Aves has played at the regional level in the leagues of Porto County . In the 1972/73 season, the club first entered the second league of Portugal. In the 1983/84 season, Aves won the third league, a year later - the second league, and in the 1985/86 season for the first time in their history played in the Portuguese Primeira . After the first season, the club flew into the second league and for a long time was a member of it. Three times "Aves" returned to Primera: in 2000, 2006 and 2017. Only in his last attempt did he manage to stay in the main Portuguese league longer than one season [1] . In the 2017/18 season, the club won the Portuguese Cup for the first time in its history, beating the Lisbon Sporting in the penalty spot in the final. Despite winning the national cup tournament, Aves did not get the opportunity to play in the Europa League , since he did not receive the UEFA license on time [3] .
