Diglossa humeralis (lat.) - a species of birds from the tanager family. Birds inhabit arable lands, sun-dried spaces, suburban gardens and subtropical and tropical mountain bushes, humid mountainous and heavily degraded forests, at an altitude of 2200–4000 meters above sea level [2] . Body length 14.5 cm [3] , weight about 13 grams [2] .

There are three subspecies [1] :
- Diglossa humeralis nocticolor - Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta (northern Colombia ) and Sierra de Perichà (on the Colombian-Venezuelan border);
- Diglossa humeralis humeralis - southwestern Venezuela (southern Tachira south of the Tachira fracture) and in the neighboring eastern Andes of Colombia (from North de Santander south of Cundinamarca and, possibly, in Nariño );
- Diglossa humeralis aterrima - in the Andes of Colombia (in the south from northern Antioquia , from Cerro Munchik in Cauca ), in Ecuador and northern Peru (south to the Maranon valley).
