Longitude 179th Meridian
The 179th meridian of west longitude is the line of longitude , 179 degrees west of the Greenwich meridian , passing from the North Pole through the Arctic Ocean , Russia , the Pacific Ocean , Oceania , the Southern Ocean to the South Pole and forming an orthodromy with the 1st meridian of the east longitude .
