History
In 1923, the Terasaki Electrical Appliance Plant ( Jap. 寺 崎 電機 製作 所 Terasaki denki seisakujo ) was founded in Osaka district of Konohan , where circuit breakers and switchboards were manufactured. During the Second World War, the factory manufactured electrical appliances for Japanese ships. In 1946, a joint-stock company (Kabushiki-gaysia) Terasaki ( 株式会社 寺 崎 電機 製作 所 ) was established on the basis of the plant. She established a subsidiary called Therasaki Electric Industrial Company, which was reorganized in 1980 but remained under the same name. In the 1970s, Therasaki Electric Industrial Company opened factories and sales offices in the UK , Singapore and Brazil , in the 1980s in Malaysia , Spain and Italy , and in the 1990s in China [2] . As of 2011, Terasaki has 15 consolidated and 2 unconsolidated subsidiaries both in Japan and abroad [1] .
