Content
Geographical position
The village is located in Ciscaucasia , on the Prikalausky heights of the Stavropol Upland , on the Kalaus River .
The federal highway P216 Astrakhan - Stavropol passes through the village.
Distance to the regional center : 83 km. Distance to the district center : 21 km.
History
It was founded in 1932 as a village of branch No. 2 of the Petrovsky state farm.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of September 21, 1964, the village of the Second Branch of the Petrovsky state farm was renamed Mayak [4] .
It was part of the municipality “Rural Settlement of the Prikalausky Village Council ” (abolished on May 1, 2017 [5] ).
