The BMW F30 is an automotive platform ( F30 is a sedan) on which the sixth generation of the BMW 3 Series is built . Replaced the previous BMW E90 . Was introduced by the company on October 14, 2011 in Munich . Sales began on February 11, 2012.

Lineup
- F30 - the first model in this series, a four-door sedan , in production since October 2011

- F32, F33, F36 - these models for increasing prestige were derived from the BMW 3 series and placed in the BMW 4 series created specially for them. F32 - coupe, F33 - convertible, F36 - four-door coupe.
Differences from E90
The body of the new BMW has become 93 mm longer, 6 mm wider (42 mm with mirrors) and 8 mm higher than its predecessor BMW E90 . Wheelbase increased by 50 mm. Trunk volume increased by 50 liters. The price of the car also increased: in Germany, the BMW 320d costs from 35,350 euros (1050 euros more than the previous one), 335i - from 43,600 euros (+ 450 euros) [3] The new generation for the first time has lost atmospheric engines, all engines will now be turbocharged. Despite the fact that the cars of the new generation have become larger, they simultaneously become lighter than their predecessor. The new 328i has the same weight as the previous 325i, and the 335i is 40 kg lighter than the previous 335i.
Design
The sixth generation of the 3 Series Sedan is a bestseller for premium cars. Wide taillights and a low roof give the new model a more sporty look. The exterior became similar to the traditional classic BMW style of the late 90s - the 3rd series (E46) and the 5th series (E39). A small LCD display protrudes from the dashboard, wooden and aluminum inserts on the door handle, a triangular console and a minimum number of buttons on the dashboard. The cup holders returned to the center and are hidden under a plastic compartment. Component acoustics has become much more visible. The Sport Line has bright red seams on the door panel, seats and steering wheel, as on the M3. There is also a metallic red finish that covers the entire dashboard.

Interior: sports thresholds, racing steering wheel trimmed in leather with a red exclusive stripe, sports seats with an exclusive red insert, glossy black or aluminum interior trim with an emphasis on red or black, gear knob with exclusive colors, chrome rings around the climate buttons and radio on the control panel, dashboard with red backlight.
Modern Line
Exterior: 17-inch wheels, matte decorative chrome on the grille and exhaust pipe.
Interior: more modern sills, a sports leather steering wheel in exclusive bright colors, leather upholstery, aluminum and wood inserts with chrome, a dashboard in bright colors (as well as in combination with black leather upholstery), chrome rings around the climate and radio buttons on control panels.
Luxury Line
Exterior: 17-inch wheels, chrome radiator grille and exhaust pipe.
Interior: luxurious sills, leather-wrapped sports steering wheel, leather upholstery with exclusive stripes, chrome wood inlays, brown panel (combined with brown seat upholstery), chrome rings around the climate and radio buttons on the control panel, center console in chrome .
