Content
Story
Iris Simpkins ( Kate Winslet ), author of the London-based Daily Telegraph, a popular wedding column in London, lives in a charming cottage in the English province. She is in love with a man who loves another. Far from her in Southern California lives Amanda Woods ( Cameron Diaz ), the owner of a thriving movie advertising agency. She suddenly discovers that a loved one is cheating on her.
Two women unfamiliar with each other, living at a distance of 10,000 kilometers from each other, find themselves in a similar situation. And they find each other. On the Internet, on a vacation home exchange site. Before Christmas, Iris and Amanda decide to take a break from their problems, agreeing to swap continents and live with each other for two weeks. Iris moves to Amanda’s house in sunny California, and Amanda arrives in a snowy English province ... And each in a new place will meet his happy Christmas!
