Academia Rossica ( London / Moscow ) is a Russian-British independent cultural organization that represents modern Russian culture in the UK and seeks to expand the space of cultural and intellectual dialogue between Moscow and London. Since 2000, the fund has been implementing a program of unique international projects in cooperation with governmental and cultural organizations of Russia and the United Kingdom.

Cinema
London Russian Film Festival
The London Festival of Russian Cinema - the most famous foreign festival of Russian cinema, is a highlight of the London cultural calendar. Since 2007, the Festival has been presenting the best Russian films awarded at international and Russian film festivals - feature, documentary, short and animated, as well as selected retrospectives. Films are shown with English subtitles, as half of the audience is English. The Russian Film Festival is a unique opportunity to meet with filmmakers, festival guests - famous Russian directors, actors, producers and film critics as part of a rich program of master classes and discussions. Russian-British Film Forum The first Russian-British Forum on co-production and distribution was organized by the Academia Rossica Foundation together with the Russian Cinema Foundation and the British Cinema Institute in 2011 as part of the London Russian Cinema Festival. [3] The Forum is an important tool for integrating Russian cinema into the international cultural space. The purpose of the Forum is the development of joint Russian-British projects, the study of opportunities for cooperation, the development of innovative film projects.
KINOKLUB
In 2011, in one of the most popular cinemas in the British capital, Apollo Piccadilly, the opening of the Russian film club took place. KINOKLUB is a weekly screening of the latest and best Russian films, which are very popular with both the Russian and English audiences. [4] Members of the cinema club have a unique opportunity to attend closed pre-screenings, master classes of Russian directors, meetings and discussions, and even choose films for screenings. The geography of the cinema club is constantly expanding, covering Edinburgh, Glasgow, Oxford, Cambridge and other cities of Great Britain.

READ RUSSIA! - An international project whose goal is the promotion of Russian literature abroad and the integration of Russian publishers in the global book industry. Academia Rossica, with financial support from the Federal Press and Mass Media Agency , organizes Russian pavilions and a program of seminars, discussions, presentations representing Russian publishers and writers at international book fairs. In September 2011, at a joint press conference with British Prime Minister David Cameron, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev noted Russia's participation in the London Book Fair as an example of constructive cooperation between Russia and the United Kingdom. In 2012, Russia again became the focus of attention of the international community as an Honored Guest of the International Book Fair in New York.
SLOVO Russian Literature Festival. Words in action! [five]
Since 2008, the SLOVO Festival has been introducing British readers to the best modern Russian literature, providing a unique opportunity to explore the living world of Russian poetry and get to know the main characters of Russian non-fiction. Each year, the festival invites leading Russian authors to participate in a program of readings and discussions organized in London and other cities in the UK.
International Living Room of the Moscow Book Fair (MIBF) [6]
The MIBF International Lounge is the space where the largest Russian book fair interacts with the international publishing world. Leading representatives of the Western book industry take part in its work - together with Russian colleagues they form a new look at modern Russian literature and book publishing, as well as establish and strengthen partnerships.
Magazine
The English-language almanac Rossica has been published since 2000 . Its purpose is to introduce a wide English-speaking audience to modern Russian culture - literature, art, cinema. ROSSICA not only talks about the complete secrets of Russian history, but also highlights the latest trends in the field of art and culture.
Rossica Award
The Rossica Translation Prize, founded in 2005, is the only award in the world for the best translation of Russian literature into English. The prize plays an important role in the promotion of Russian literature in English-speaking countries and is the most important engine for the development of the school of Russian translators. The prize is in the center of attention of all those interested in Russian literature - translators, Slavists, publishers and, of course, the authors themselves.
Rossica Young Translator Award
The Rossica Young Translators Prize, the Rossica Young Translators Prize [7], established in 2009 along with the Rossica Prize, is awarded to young translators up to 25 years old. The institution of this award aims to discover new talented translators and their acquaintance with modern Russian literature. The winner receives a cash prize, a recommendation to leading English-language publishers, as well as the opportunity to communicate with the best professional translators and leading Russian authors.
