Alba Silvius is the mythical king of Alba Longa .

He was the son of the fourth king, Latina Sylvia . According to Titus Livius , he ruled 39 years [1] . From the work of Dionysius of Halicarnassus , it turns out that this is the period 1028–989 BC. e [2] . The question of Alba's successor is controversial. According to Livy, it was his son Atis Silvius , Ovid tells the name of Epitus [3] , and Dionysius of Halicarnassus calls Kapet.
Caption
The statue of Alba Sylvia was erected at the Forum of Augustus along with the statues of the other kings of Alba Longa. During the excavations of the Forum, fragments of the inscription from the base of the statue of the king were found. The text of the inscription was reconstructed based on the analysis of all the found fragments. Estimated text of the inscription:
