Silesi Sikhine (born January 29, 1983 ) is an Ethiopian long distance runner . He specialized in 10,000 meters running. Two-time Olympic silver medalist. Two-time silver medalist at the World Championships in 2005 and 2007 and a bronze medalist in 2003. Silver medalist of the 2005 world championship in 5000 meters .

At the 2004 World Cross-Country Championships, he took 3rd place in the individual championship and 1st place in the team event. Three-time winner of the 15-kilometer Zevenheuvelenlolo race. In 2005, he became the world champion in the half marathon in the team event. In 2004 and 2005, he was the winner of the World Athletics Finals in 5000 meters. In 2006, at the world championship in cross-country, he finished 2nd in the individual championship, and also became a bronze medalist in the team event. In 2011, he made his debut at a marathon in Amsterdam , but he could not finish the race.
