Bazylev, Dmitry Fedorovich

Education

In 1984, Dmitry entered secondary school No. 37 of Vitebsk. According to him, at the beginning of his studies, he did not have much interest in the exact sciences, and did not even have time in some subjects, including mathematics. “I was in fifth grade like this: I studied in three years ...” - said Bazylev about their studies. However, in the 8th grade, Dmitry Bazylev takes part in his first mathematics Olympiad and takes 3rd place in his hometown. Since then, he has been actively participating in all kinds of mathematical olympiads and competitions, and since the 11th grade he has already sent the conditions of his tasks to mathematical olympiads, some of his tasks falling into the programs of republican and even international olympiads.

Graduated from school in 1994. In the same year he entered the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of BSU.

Scientific and teaching activities

In 1999, he entered the graduate school of the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. In 2002, Dmitry entered the algebra department of the Institute of Mathematics. Since 2005, he has been working at the Department of Higher Mathematics, Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, BSU. May 15, 2003 Bazylev defended his thesis on "Indexes of Ώ-algebras over fields of rational functions with coefficients in special hereditarily Pythagorean fields", in connection with which he was awarded the degree of candidate of physical and mathematical sciences the same year. In 2006, Dmitry was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.

From 2006 to 2014, he was deputy dean for educational work at the faculty of applied mathematics and computer science.

He began teaching at the Lyceum of BSU in 2004.

After the academic year 2010/2011, Dmitry Fedorovich leaves the teaching staff of the lyceum of BSU. He currently teaches the following disciplines at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of BSU ^[1] :

• Member of the organizing committee and jury of the student mathematics Olympiad BSU;
• Member of the organizing committee and jury of the Republican Student Olympiad in Mathematics;
• Member of the jury of the International Mathematics Olympiad among university students;
• Team Leader of the Belarusian State University at the International Mathematics Olympiad among university students;
• The author of the tasks of regional, republican, international Olympiads of pupils and students.
