Population
In 1999, the population of the village was 971 people (484 men and 487 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 782 people (382 men and 400 women) lived in the village [3] .
History of the village
On the place where Koklazhar rural district is located, in 1895 there was an aul of the Orak family. In 1895, the first settlers were residents from Samara. In 1929 in the village of Gavrilovka organized by the collective farm "Aymak", "Zhana-Zhol", "Victory". During the years of consolidation of agricultural associations in 1939, they were reorganized into a collective farm named after Jambul. In 1942, Germans were deported from the German autonomous republic of the Volga region (Saratov region) to the village, mostly women, old people and children. In 1943, the exiled Ingush arrived. In 1957, the state farm "Valikhanovsky" was organized on the basis of collective farms.
