Music
Beatles '65 includes eight of the fourteen tracks from the Beatles for Sale album (excluding Eight Days a Week, Words of Love, Every Little Thing, I Don't Want to Spoil the Party, What You're Doing ”and“ Kansas City / Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey ”; they were all included in Beatles VI ). The album added songs “I'll Be Back” (from the album A Hard Day's Night ) and the single “I Feel Fine” / “She's a Woman”. The last two songs have been mixed into “ duophonic ” stereo tracks, as well as Capitol Records sound engineer Dave Dexter Jr. ( Eng. Dave Dexter, Jr ) the effects of “echo” and “reverb” were added to replace monophonic tracks obtained from England. [2]
Stereo mix of the song “ Mr. Moonlight ”in this album has a longer fadeout than in the mono version.
Envelope
The photos on the cover symbolized the four seasons - winter, spring, summer and autumn. The main photo is winter . The group under the umbrellas symbolizes the winter rainy season. Bottom, from left to right: spring (John on a chair with a flower in his hands, the rest in the hands of a spring (one of the meanings of the word spring is spring), Paul and George took off their jackets), summer (John under an umbrella in sunglasses, Ringo rolled up his sleeves, George loosened his tie, and Paul took it off altogether) and autumn (John, Paul and Ringo hold brooms in their hands, George has a basket in their hands, they all dressed warmly again, fallen leaves under their feet). In general, the photos turned out to be more cheerful than for the Beatles For Sale. The author of the photographs is avant-garde artist Robert Whitaker (Robert Whitaker, 1939-2011).
Chart Success
In the US, the album became a blockbuster; he instantly took off from 98th place to first, made the biggest jump to the top line in the history of Billboard Album Charts. Starting January 9, 1965 , he remained in first place for eight weeks. Evidence of the amazing success of The Beatles album can be a list of only a few albums, which were also released in America in 1965 and which were given names similar to The Beatles for advertising purposes. These are, for example, Frank Sinatra's Sinatra '65: The Singer Today and Duke Ellington's Ellington '65 Orchestra released by Reprise Records ; Trio '65 jazz pianist Bill Evans on Verve Records ; Brasil '65 Sergio Mendes on the same as The Beatles, Capitol Records label .
